Fluval Edge Filter Help

hi all i have a problem with my edges filter wey filter intake pipe.

people that own a edge will know sometimes gunk sometimes builds up inside the tub that sucks the water into the filter and needs cleaning out every now and again i cleaned the tube out today and i dropped it silly i know but its make a chip and a crack along the tube and its causing it not to suck the water in through the tube as quick as it should it still works for now but i want to replace the tube.

i know Hagen use a rebranded hang on the back filter but i cant remeber which brand they use for it does anybody know what brand it is and where i can get a replacement intake tube from? if not the tube the whole filter unit?

Just an idea ... I too have an Edge (12 gal) ... I bought a cylindrical sponge that fits over the bottom of the intake tube (it is cut-out so that it slides over the intake slots and bottom of the tube) ... keeps the "chunks" out of the filter and the filter "tub" clean ... bought it (3 pack) on Amazon (about $4 US) it's called a "pre-filter sponge"

AquaClear is the Hagen "off brand" ... I know that the AquaClear 20 filter sponges fit the Edge filter (and are even labeled as such) - you can purchase the AquaClear sponge (made by Hagen) sells for about half of what an Edge branded sponge does ... perhaps a search for AquaClear 20 filter parts would turn up what you are looking for ... Amazon has a lot of Hagen/Edge/AquaClear parts & accessories

You can buy most fluval parts from your LFS, if they don' have them in the can get them, well at least MA can. P@H do the sponge for the end of the intake tube. I bought one a few weeks back £3 i think for one

thanks iv been looking on the net and found the part i need i thought i would have to buy the full pipe but i can buy just the U-Pipe for £3-£4 thing is i can only find them on websites in the states and im not a fan of ordering stuff from the states i will give hagen a ring then try local pet store if not i will just have to go with the filter sponge idea or see it i can get some tubing from like a gravel clean and work something out
