Any thoughts on this product? Anyone own one? Was looking into it for my Betta and maybe a few ghost shrimp... Reviews seem pretty mixed. Anyone have one?

As far as I'm aware a betta could jump out of that, try the edge, about the same price but has a proper lid , just noticed too that there is a model of the "Chi" with a lid

Yes! Would no doubt get a lid for it! I would love the edge, but around here they are considerably more expensive...

I got a betta in a fluval chi without any problems I got him in there for 8 months now.

I also have my betta in a fluval chi. I've had him for about 3 months in there all good! I'd recommend it, but I'd recommend the 5 gallon more then the 6.6 gallon because the 6.6 is taller rather than wider or longer and the betta won't like that as much

Another thing I like about it, what mainly brought me to buy the chi, is that the filtration cube is a waterfall. Bad part of the waterfall is that you need something in the filter box either a plant or that clear plastic thing or the rocks or else water squirts everywhere.

I'll probably just use the rocks. This tank will be my first go at live plants, So hopefully all goes well!
What kind of substrate do you use? I was thinking sand, or maybe something black to make the plants pop. Too bad my betta is black and white.... XD

seems the smaller they get they more costly they are lol... bet i could get a 4ft for that

but yeah for bettas they are a nice feature

Just the 4 ft? Here the cheapest I can get is a brand new 4 ft for $55 or used $30 and a whole system $100 and $135 w/ stand. (the stand was rubbish though so I didn't get it.) also found a $200 full kit with everything even deco and fish and stuff but it sold fast.

My sister just got one for her Betta, you can buy a lid on ebay or your local lfs. It's a lovely looking tank.
