Fluval C4 loud!

I returned my Fluval C3 and bought the C4 and it's louder than the C3 was! I even lubed it with Super Lube Synthetic Grease. The intake tube is sitting properly in it and I unplugged and plugged it back in 4 times and that did nothing. What is up? Will this noise go away?

Now,I don't use these but maybe try placing a towel or something under it to kinda soak of the noise.Should work to some degree.

It's a hob filter and I think the sound is coming from the motor/impeller so putting a towel under it won't do anything.
