Fluval 405+Roma 125?

I want to buy a Fluval 405 for my Fluval Roma 125.
But im a little worried that the inlet and outlet hoses are too large for the precut holes at the top back of the aquarium. And I have 3 cables coming out of one of the 2 holes and I dont really want to have no modify them as I dont have a hacksaw. Does anyone know how this can be over come and if there is no problem?

I take it you've taken out the half cut rectangles but they're already full? theres two, one on each side? Otherwise I don't know..

I have just bought this tank - those rectangles are attached and can't be taken out unless you cut the plastic. Or am I missing something?

To the thread starter - I have a Roma 125 and external fluval 205 filter. The tubes are too big and mean the back part of the lid is angled up, so I was planning on buying a hacksaw to cut a hole in it. As far as I can work out that is the only option.

I have two of these tanks and have cut out part of the back rectangular sections(The two end ones) to fit the the pipes from my tetratec ex 700s. I snipped out the required size using small wire cutters as the plastic is quite thin and flexable.If you cut the required width and depth, the pipes sit snuggley in the cut area and the back lid sits flat.
