Has anybody changed the pipe work on these filters from the black ribbed to a see through plastic?

Just texting out load, few ideas I have

I quite like the ribbed hoses, they are easier to bend over the top of the tank without kinking. Why do you want to change them ?

Thinking of fitting inline heater & diffuser thought conection would be easier when not ribbed? Could be wrong never tried it yet, don't want 240ltrs on the floor

Ah right, you can use the clear hose to go from the Filter to the inline device, then use the ribbed hose to go from device to tank - that's what I do

Cheers any idea on hose size, dose it go inside or over my ribbed hose?

here is a pic of mine,  https://www.dropbox.com/s/a9igatfwlbsd4uf/2013-09-12%2017.04.47.jpg

the small section of clear hose connects the diffuser to the filter and the ribbed hose connects to the top of the diffuser. the external heaters have the same connectors on them and the size of the hose you need is 16/22mm

Levahe - that's an very neat and tidy set up.

Nicely done.
If I ever go down that route of using a diffuser and inline heater I will copy your setup! :)
Hope you don't mind my stealing your idea!

Levahe, that's helped a lot just what I wanted to know

Thanks very much
