Hi,

I have a 240l tank which i will be cycling soon. Now i can get 2 x fluval 304 filters, one needs a new impellar shaft which is around £8. Will these 2 filters running side by side do the job? I am getting them both for about £40 delivered.

Is there any reason i shouldnt get these?

I wouldn't touch a 2nd hand fluval with a 10ft bargepole, they'll fail just outside the warranty, guaranteed, go for a tetratec, rena or eheim.

lol okay ill not go for it then.

Was just trying to keep costs a little lower, spending a fortune on fish keeping this last 6 months!

Ideally i wanted 2 tetratec ex1200s

not even for £40 for the 2 delivered?

A decent filter will work out better than a soggy floor later.
 agree with truck, the filter is the most important bit of equipment your tank needs so i wouldnt cut corners here. also the prie start thing on fluvals are tricky and usually break.
