I've bought a s/h 240 Roma which is in good nick but unfortunately the ballast blew so the last owner replaced it with one that didn't quite fit into the space. I'd like to get a slimmer model so the lid can go back on and it all look better in my home. Especially since the current install is a little flakey in performance terms).
Is anyone able to give me the model number of the ballast in original equipment form or an alternative model (I've seen tridonic ones on ebay) that will fit into the original hood ? I believe I've got twin T8 40w tubes in at the moment, but happy to step those down if its a better option (my knowledge on lighting is not above basic!).
I did contact Hagen, but they merely told me I could buy a whole new strip. Erm. Thanks but no.
