No. Dropcheckers only work for actual CO2 gas injection.

No, I have not heard that it would harm fish. It does effect some plant species, however. For me personally, the chemical smells rather bad, so I don't like it much. Yeah, to me the yeast smells better! At least I know that smell and the smell of the resultant alcohol. Not sure what the liquid CO2 smell is or why it smells so bad to me, so I don't use it.

thanks for that,just my fish seem a bit listless after adding the excel,checked water readings everything fine ammonia 0,nitrite o,nitrate between 5-10,never had a higher reading for nitrate since tank has cycled,could my low nitrate levels cause a problem?

well the staghorn seems to be turning red,so hopefully thats the excel doing its job

well staghorn has disappeared,and plants are doing great,the flourish excel has worked just great
