My tank is looking better with my cutting down on my light and doing weekly 50%water changes, which I will carry on with, I've had to replace my Vallisneria plants which I put down to using Seachem Excel, but I've been looking at a product that I had never heard of called APT Fix Lite, I've watched YouTube videos and are all giving excellent reviews, and yes they say they are not sponsored by this company. I have to admit I am a sucker. For buying so called wonder products, what i liked as its advertised as being kind to plants and fish, has anyone used it can you tell me what you thought of it, was it successful especially when dealing with Blackbeard algae..
And a happy Xmas to you all.

Surprised 67 views not one answer. I bet there has been plenty of posts on blackbeard algae using hydrogen peroxide and Seachem Exel, but none on this product.

I suspect few here have used it. General biocides in closed systems Poly(oxyethylene(dimethyliminio) ethylene(dimethyliminio)ethylene dichloride is what you'd have to research, to see what it does. I don't care what corporation sells it - the aquarium business is unregulated, wild west stuff.

I am naturally wary of any information that's presented in a way that looks like useful information but is actually a ruse to sell products. Such is the case.with the 2 Hr. Aquarist. And why 2 Hrs? Do people think aquarium success can be obtained in just 2 hours?
I believe it's all the product of gentleman named Dennis Wong. Dennis is a frequent contributor on another planted tank based forum where he is treated like an unquestioned demigod.
Maybe his products work. Maybe he's just a.good promoter. My main issue is presenting his sales pitch as actual information.

I take it this product is an Algaecide similar to Seachem Excel, although it appears to advertise as being different.
