Hi,

Does anybody on here dose their tank(s) with Seachem's Flourish range of ferts ?

I have 3 tanks are differing sizes (40ltr, 80ltr and 130ltr) and I will shortly be setting up a 4th tank (240ltr), I wanted a quick and easy method of working out the daily dosage for each tank, so I created a Flourish Daily Dosage Calculator in and MS Excel spreadsheet.

If anybody would find this useful or is willing to have a look and make any suggestions, let me know.
(I just need to spend an hour tidying it up and it should be done)

It can currently calculate the suggested daily dose for 7 different ferts and 4 different tanks.
Suggested doses are currently based on Seachems recommendations in their Plant Dosing Chart, but can be changed when filling in the few bits of info required. The user just enters a few details about the tank and ferts to be used.

The products will be set to Seachem suggested levels (from the chart), but can be adjusted as required, as can the sizes of the tank.
There is room to select different products for different days and the user can enter their own dose if dosing higher/lower that suggested.

There is really no reason why it would not work for other liquid based ferts, and with a few changes it could work for EI.

Note: This is NOT in any way a replacement for such established and very useful tools, such as chucks planted tank calc, but could be used in conjuctions with it (for EI dosing).

It is simply a quick way of working out ltrs of water for each ml of fert and how much to add to each tank, based on tank volume, if using multiple ferts and multiple tanks.

..... Oh and if anybody is wondering why I actually bothered .... well I was bored and needed to refresh myself on a few areas of excel !
I'm certainly no excel guru (but can find my way around a little) so there are probably better, more elegant ways of doing the calculations, but it seems to work ok !
