Florida Flag-fish (american Flag Fish)

I cant remember where but I remember reading that Florida flag fish often inhabit light brackish waters, is this true? I can see where it could be true as from what I know Florida does have mangrove swamps. I know pretty much nothing about this fish except that it like cooler tempatures and is an awesome algae eater. Please enlighten me brackish experts! ( :cough: nmonks :cough: )
 
I'm not sure that it _needs_ brackish water, though that's the opinion of many older books. But it is certainly common in brackish water in the wild, and it does well in brackish water aquaria. An SG of 1.005 is probably tops, though. While there are brackish to marine killifish (many of them, in fact) this isn't one of them.
