I noticed the krib and the paradise fish flicking last Mon. It was just those two fish, so I didn't worry too much. Then the guppies started flicking tonight as well. But that's the entire extent of the symptoms. No white spots, no red streaks, no fuzzies, nothing. So like, whats up with that?

--EDIT--
Please note that I have fry and expensive (for me) plecos in there. That makes me a little nervous about meds and salt treatments.

The tank is getting very hot, a more ideal temp for your fish is around 24-25degrees and the heat could be making them uncomfortable so try gradually lowering the temp and see if it changes their behavior- how often are the fish flicking themselves on objects on average? What is their behavior like- are they lethargic or pale looking and are they eating well and interacting with each other normally?

yeah, i've been trying to get the temp down... i had turned it up to deal with a potential ich outbreak a couple of months ago and i've not quite gotten the heater reset again.

the flicking is very intermittent. no one looks unhealthy and appetites are a little *too* good.

If you had whitespot only a short while ago, keep an eye out for anymore outbreaks as it can have a habit of coming back after it has seemingly been wiped out- how long ago did you have the whitespot?
Without much else to go on, its difficult to make any accurate diagnosis of wether your fish are ill with anything, so i would just try to deal with the temp as they can't be very comfortable with it so high- directing a fans flow on the tank water will help cool it down, as will turning the tank lights off for longer periods of time as the lights will heat the tank up and also increasing the filters flow so that it creates more bubbles of air in the water will help cool things down and give the fish more oxygen, as the concentration of oxygen can get quite low when the tank temp is hot.
