Flareing Problem

Charlie seems to be over his fungal infection. He is very active, good appitite, and all the white patches are gone. (Thank goodness!) I was messing with him with a pen, which he hates, but when he flared at me only one side flares. The side the fungus was on is the one not working. He is very mellow and doesn't flare often, does anyone know why this happens? Can I do anything for him?

it could be sore, or still slightly infected with the fungus, I would keep treating him for a little while just to make sure.
