In conclusion to my first fishy love thread which is entirely too long to bump up, I thought I'd post some pictures of my adorable krib kids ^_^

They're going on two months old about now and they're doing really well. I've read so many horror stories of folks having problems with aggression in their kribs :dunno: I can only assume mine get along so well because they've been together all of their lives. Beats me, but everyone is doing smashingly. The tank is way,way crowded though, and my molly female keeps popping out fry left and right. We're up to around 17 of them right now.

Over all, I'm very proud of the parenting skills of the kribs

I've been putting off getting rid of the kribs in hopes that they'll color up and I can sex them before they go off into the world. Plus everyone is getting along so well I see no reason to pull them out just yet.

Now, when I set up my West African tank next June in Miami, I know where to get my krib pair? You're great with bettas and now your kribs look awesome too!

:D

Indeed, if you're in the market for some kribs, please take some of mine . Just pay the shipping and I'll be happy to see them go.

Ya know, I think I prefer getting rid of fish that way. I've really been hesitant to take these to the lfs. I guess I'm just a weirdo ^_^

Macdaddy~ Well, they lived together for a long time with no signs of spawning. They went right at it the first couple of days after I moved them to a lovin' tank. I'll find the link...

Thanks for the comments,guys!

Aww, grown up so big and tough :flex:
:p
Those damn molly fry try to hog op the pictures :p

Well, I'll let you know come June 2006. What was your male/female ratio? I had mostly males when mine bred, my water was more alkaline. Worked great for the LFS I supplied them too as his water was acidic. It was a great arrangement until the LFS closed down.

I'm still having a hard time sexing them. It's next to impossible. For me anyway. They're not bettas :look:

But ,if I recollect, I couldn't sex the parents for the longest time either.

OMG Wuv, they look amazing!! The parents have indeed done a wonderful job ^_^. They actually look like teeny kribs now, awwwww

They look wonderful. "Thinking of taking a pair off your hands, because I do have that empty 30 gallon." Must do some research first. :)
