I have 3 mollies in my main tank - orange/black/dalmation they're all doing fine and have been for some time but I've noticed the black one is constantly chasing the dalmation around the tank and keeps siddling up to the orange one... which occasionally gets chased but not nearly as much as the dalmation. The black one is truly being a pest - any ideas whats going on here?

I thought it might be that I have 2 males and the orange is a female but I can't sex them....

Yes, you definitely need to sex them. Males will have a pointed anal fin, and females will have a fanned one. If you can figure out what sexes they are, then we could probably tell you what's going on. :)

I would guess you have 2 males and a female. You ideally need to have 2-3 females per male...so you'd either have to get more fish, or take a male back and get a couple more females.

I have 3 mollies aswell...

All girls and have noticed that one of the females (orange dalmation) chases the small black molly from time to time.

Likely hood is that you have 2 males and a female and the male is competitng with the other.
