Fish's Face A Bit Smushed...how To Help It?

The fish is in a bad way if the lip has gone.
You need antibiotics to stop what the fish has the bacteria is eating away at the flesh.
Antibiotics are only available in the uk from a vet.
I would do a water change to make the fish more confortable and add a half a tablespoon of salt to the tank.
Get a jug of tank water and stir the salt in till its disolved and add to the tank.

the little blighter can still really move though!!

will call vet tomorrow....what kind of antibiotics will i need?

Tetracycline but it to late to be honest the damage has been done.
Is the mouth of the fish any worse.

Hello,

as per article posted, and after i spoke to an aquarium shop i have started the methylene blue treatment.

The shop owner said it may heal over but top lip would remain missing...

so we shall see...
