I often end up having to switch around fish when I get heavily stocked, trying to figure out what to do with hundreds of angels when I get busy. Not any more;

150 gallons each tub, for $75 each used. They almost didn't fit in the fishroom, I had to remove the door & frame to squeeze them in. A commercial angel breeder that lives about an hour away is retiring, and shutting down a 300 tank operation. He used two of these for storing & mixing ro water. I picked up 7 of them last week, sold 4. He has a 300 gallon tub that is the bio filter for his centralized filter setup, I know another local breeder that wants it.

This 300 tank setup was something to see, one of the biggest privately owned setups around. He was selling 8,000 to 10,000 angels monthly, so there is going to be a real shortage in the area. Some other local angel breeders & I are jumping on this, ramping up production, and making sales calls. I should be able to put out 2,000 monthly once I get a few more pairs together, between all of us we are at about 8,000 fish monthly, totally maxxed out.

It's going to get busy fast.

Any pics of the huge fishroom you visited? It would be a site to see!! from what it sounds like you're going to need to build a new fish room!

Those are big tubs lol. Good luck! :good:

Nice, I found out about the guy that is retiring on aquabid, he had some nice prices. Very nice tubs!

For some reason when it starts to get busy in my fishroom, it starts to pick up at work. Happens every time, I can’t figure that for the life of me.

I told this breeder that is retiring that he should write a book, I’m sure that he has plenty of pictures of his setup. This man is a wealth of knowledge, I spent 20 minutes loading tubs, and 1½ hours talking fish. He has more good ideas than I have fish, and is a really nice guy.

This is more of a part time job for me, I run press for a commercial printing outfit full time. If it picks up I might have two full time jobs. I heard about this guy shutting down through word of mouth from a couple of local club members, looked into aquabid, and gave him a call to see what else he may have. Another club member made him a deal on a load of tanks, I may be driving out there to help him load them & drive them back. He’s renting a truck to pick up fifty 40 gallon tanks, all drilled for overflows. I may pick up a few of these off of him, as he got a real good price.
