I've started a fishless cycle
But I can't find ammonia that use all talk about. I have found cloudy ammonia. Is this suitable for a fishless cycle?

Unfortunately it's pretty important that the ammonia be clear, free of fragrances, soaps, dyes and other things. Cloudy ammonia may have some sort of soap in it and that would cause you much worse problems down the road than if you didn't use it.

Gosh, we seem to have settled in to using Boots in the UK and Ace Hardware in the USA and that has solved so many of the bothersome problems we used to have. It used to be considered a great adventure watching a new member go off and try to find the right ammonia and we'd all wait to hear how the hunt was going.

There are probably many old threads to search if you have the patience and some of them may mention other brands that may help you.

Hang in there, it is great that you are trying to get ready and do the fishless cycling in the first place. It is a great way to get started!

Thanks for that I'll definately not use it then. I'll keep looking. I'm in aus so been looking for a week and could only find that

I use "Kleen off" ordered through amazon.uk. Its about 9.5% ammonia
