Fish Crazy
Hi everyone - I'm hoping some fishless cycle experts can just check over a little project I've been working on. While I was waiting around between water tests earlier, I put my time to good use and created an ammonia calculator which can be used for both Add and Wait, and Add Daily methods.
I've put it here, along with what I'm planning on building into a sort of blog type thing about my fish tank:

/aquarium.stormail.co.uk/ammonia.php"]http
/aquarium.stormail.co.uk/ammonia.php[/URL]
Basically, using some info about your tank and the ammonia you buy, it tells you how much you need to add to your aquarium to reach a specific ppm. Seeing as this is all just really science, I assume the calculations will work more or less every time (except where excessive numbers of plants are involved).
I'd appreciate it if you could take a look, and check that I'm not giving out duff advice! I'm new to all this, but think that the calculator would be useful to others (it's been useful to me already!).
I've tested it in my aquarium, and using the calculator I ended up with exactly the amount of ammonia I should have (it was exactly on the 4ppm colour on the test, but there's obviously room for error there!)
Anyway, would appreciate knowing what you all think, and whether you think it'll be of use to anyone!
Many thanks,
Ian
edit: just found the aquarium calculator link lol, oh well, still 45 minutes of something more productive than staring at the tank
would still appreciate any feedback though!
