i just got my new 10 gallon tank set up to hold my fish that are in my impossible to cycle 33gal. im not quite sure how many drops of ammonia i should be adding...any ideas for a 10 gallon, thanks

It really depends on the strength of the ammonia but as a general rule, 1ml will raise 5 gallon to about 5 ppm. You may want to start with 1 ml for the 10 gallon and then add a little more if it is only 2 or 3 ppm.

it doesnt say the strength on it , its just general safeway select brand ammonia. also, whats the best temp to cycle a tank the quickest?

The higher the temperature the better. I usually set my temp in the upper 80s to low 90s. Have you read this thread on fishless cycling?

yea i have read it , i have a little idea of what im doing, but not much. right now im just waiting for my temp to raise a bit then ill add the ammonia and see waht happens.

You can go ahead and add the ammonia. No need to wait on the temperature. It won't hurt it. Just make sure you have plenty of aeration with the higher temperature or there won't be enough oxygen for the bacteria to develop.
