Hello

I would appreciate any help please

So after my last fishless cycle failed it did begin to process the ammonia and i was adding more but as i missed a few days due to other commitments and have had to started again

I am now 23 days in and nothing has changed ammonia levels are at 4ppm and have been since day 1, I am wondering is something wrong or can it take this long to process?

Many thanks for any advice

I see you have a second tank...can you not just borrow a bit of media from that to kick-start your cycle?

I thought about this but I have a Fluval FX5 on the new tank and an Ehim on the other - The stuff on ehiem is too small and just drops through gaps

I would have expected the cycle to have started naturally by now mind you, something may be up-setting it... What's your pH on? What Ammonia are you using? I assume you get a different Ammonia reading when you test tap water? Did you use the correct amount of dechlorinator, and if so, what brand of dechlorinator are you using?

All the best
Rabbut
