Fishless Cycle Log. Help Would Be Nice :)

Hey again everyone,

Just letting you know the Progress of the water testing results.
I still haven't been able to find the ammonia in store, however I have recently ordered some from Boots.com.

Day 1. Set up tank.
Added Gravel, Stress Zyme, and Stress coat that came with the tank.

Day 5. 01.07.09

Water Test Results:

PH - 7.8
Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrite NO2 - 0.50ppm
Nitrate NO3 - 80ppm

Day 6. 02.07.09

Added live plant, Stress Zyme and done a 25% water change

Water Test Results:

PH - 7.8
Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrite NO2 - 0.25ppm
Nitrate NO3 - 80ppm

Day 7. 03.07.09

PH - 7.8
Ammonia - 0.25ppm
Nitrite NO2 - 1.0ppm
Nitrate NO3 - I can't tell the difference between 40/80 ppm... but it looks to be more 80ppm

Like I said, I couldn't find the ammonia In store, but have ordered a bottle online.

Ok wait till the ammoina arrives, boots sell it, it is called household ammonia and is usally in their houshold isle, you can also buy a syringe from them for about 75p

Yes, and when you get your ammonia, restart your "Day" count for the fishless cycle because we use those, along with the series of water test results you present, to judge whether things seem to be going ok or to give advice etc. and everything could get kinda "off" if Day 1 doesn't mean first day with ammonia in there feeding the bacteria.
