I haven't really decided what fish i want yet, im thinking along the lines of a few blue tetras... Think they are really pretty.

Wondering if anyone has any other ideas as i want alot of colour kinda like the bleeding heart tetras too

i like the look of sand more with a nice piece of wood and some plants looks lovely

If you're going to have cories, you should definitely have sand and not gravel

If you are just starting out I would suggest gravel. Once you have got used to the cleaning, then move on to sand. Also for that size of tank, cycle well and start small. Less all round. It is so tempting. (I and so many others have been there) to go to your LFS and come out with loads of fish that are just not compatable. Look at the revelant forums here and I'm sure you will find alot of usefull information. If your still not sure just ask. remember we were all L drivers once.

Its really quite a personal taste. I find what others like I may not. Find it hard to answer questions such as this.

Have a look round your LFS and see what catches your eye, go to a few different ones and you'll get a wee bit more variety.
