I have plans for a large area to house my Chondro (Morelia Veridis) that will include a 75 gallon space for fishes, I figure the aquatic area would help with the required humidity to keep the snake happy/healthy. I'd like to go with fishes from either Indonesia or New Guinea, since this is where his species originates. My problem is that I have no clue about fishes from these areas ... so I turn to you guys for some suggestions. And no, before you ask, Greenbean, the snake, doesn't eat fishes ... at least I think he doesn't. -_-

The largest group of fish found in Indonesia are Cyprinids with many barb species originating from there, tiger barbs and banded barbs are both common examples. Beware of any catfish from this region, almost all Asian catfishes are predatory and/or aggressive.

Thanks guys.

I did a search, and yes, there are Rainbows from that area, which seem like a good choice as they will add color and constant motion to the area (G hardly ever moves). And I'd have to pass on babrbs, cause I'd be afraid they'd get nippy if Greenbean went for a soak.

I also appreciate the catfish warning, because catfish are always the first thing I am looking toward.

DANG Tetra! Those pics are amazing! Honestly though, I don't know how I could swing someting like that. It looks like a very talented and patient hand was at work on that project -- and I'm neither. But again, I must say ... DANG! B)
