Recently I had to switch to omega one from new life spectrum because my dogs found my food stash. I would of got more NLS but the only store that sells it is a good hour away. I started feeding omega one yesterday and my fish just spit it out. Do they just need time to adjust to this new food or do I need to switch back to NLS?

This is not uncommon with new foods. I find that many times when I use a food I have never used before, some fish, maybe most, don't seem particularly fond of it. I don't know which Omega One you are using, or the fish, but this is a good nutritional brand that I use along with New Life Spectrum flake. I use Omega One's Veggie flake, veggie round, shrimp flake and shrimp sinking pellets.

Another thing, when fish spit food out, it is possible they have actually bitten off a bit and eaten it. Some fish will do this regularly. I have noticed a tetra do this, slowly eating the flake bit by bit.

I am using the super color flakes and the color mini pellets. I will keep a eye on my fish and make sure they start eating. When I fed today it seems like my newer fish that ate NLS for a shorter amount of time are taking Omega One easier. I am glad to hear this is a normal occurrence.
