I was thinking of doing a image about something but didn't know what, and then I thought of "Fish Waste".

Actually, over time, nitrite is more toxic than ammonia as it affects the blood-oxygen transfer but as someone stated in another thread, arguing which is worse is like arguing whether it's worse to be stabbed to death or shot to death. Either way, you're dead.

Ummm. I don't really get the "dead" bit.

Good diagram, I understand things so much more when it is shown in 0ne.

It is factually incorrect in stating that nitrite is not as bad. Both ammonia and nitrite kill fish in relatively low amounts. As stated above, it has been shown that nitrite is the worst to be succepted to at low levels for a long time, but both are deadly so you don't want either.

Also, somewhere around 80% of the ammonia in the tank is from osmotic reactions across the fishes's gills, so referring to the ammonia as being converted from fish-waste doesn't give the correct status.

However, as a simple step guide it does show a lot of promise.

I'll just fix that, just hope my hand won't slip! But don't have time now, I'll do it when I get back.
