Today I bought some plants from Pets At home. These 4 plants I used to go in front of the wood at the bottom of the tank. So now my friend's parrot has about 15 cm squared just to go and retreat if it feels threatened. But my only worry is that it is too close to the filter. This is slightly worrying for me although I'm not sure if anything bad can happen to it being close to the filter. Here is a pic of the situation anyway.

Do you think, i should give it more space, but then other fish would come in as well, whereas this is just a spot where him and the severum go. What do you think?

Pic isn't working for me hon. Not knowing what type of filter it is, can it possibly get pulled into it? If it's an external and it sucks the water in through a tube I'd be concerned it'd get sucked onto it and panic. Mine has the end covered so fish cannot get sucked onto it with a heater guard over it. Doesn't effect how it works either.
Hugs,
P.

If your worried about small fish being pulled into filter Get yourself a aquaclear mini sponge Cut a criss cross with razor or exacto knife and slide it over intake tube. This is how I keep fry out of my filters.
