Fish Tonic

Hi, have seen "general fish tonic" for sale in LFS, was wondering if anyone here uses these. Was wondering if there was anything I could be adding to my tank to give the fish a wee "perk" ?
Any thoughts ?

As far as I know these tonics are just a dilute aquarium salt solution.

But if it as salt it can be 50% good or 50% bad in the long run but since I've been on here i still haven't a clue about salt so now i don't add anything in to my tank as fresh water fish should be kept in fresh water as most breeds now are not from the wild and are bread in tanks. So if your keeping up a good cleaning rota weekly and once in a blue moon just move some deco as i think that might help fish to be happy? but thats just me but really nothing to me should be added to a healthy tank. Unless the fish as a illness and need med or a little salt with some illness's, like white spot.

On a serious note. I agree. Your fish should be happy with a mature filter, good maintenance, and a well decorated tank to simulate natural environment.

If a friend of yours looked sad would you try and help him out or say "here, take this, I think it's heroin but who knows what else the guy cut it with"

I agree with the above, if the fish are healthy, then don't worry.
Regular maintenance and plenty of care, then you shouldn't need it. The less chemicals going into the tank, the better.
