I've heard bettas do sometimes. What about zebra danios, neon tetras, black neon tetras?

Thanks. I'll probably get shrimp for my zebra and neon tank then.
Will different species of shrimp get along? Like cherry shrimp, ghost shrimp, and amano shrimp?

I've got Zebra and Leopard Danios, neon tetras, cherry shrimp and amano shrimp (as well as the other critters listed in my sig) and they get along just fine.
My danios are super greedy but don't bother the shrimp in the slightest. Sometimes the danios get a bit boisterous when they are spawning (or in the mood anyway) and the shrimps just sort of "flip" out of the way/

Most fish suitable for a comunity tank (peaceful such as tetras, corys, rasboras, danios, etc.) will be fine with shrimp. Bettas are hit or miss, depending on the temperment on the betta. When you start getting into more aggressive fish, then things can get dicey, especially if the shrimp enters their territory.

...if you are expecting shrimp that breed, be aware that most fish will simply see the babies as snacks !

Im hoping to keep shrimp in my soon to be setup betta tank, so its good to see that betta can get along with shrimp although sounds like it might not, only one way to tell I guess :)

Can bottom feeders like corys be kept with shrimp?

Corys and shrimp do fine together. It's actually fun to watch they shrimp as they run along the bottom. They will basically just run over the corys like they aren't even there.
