Fish Tb?

My little psycho platy who has been unwell for some time now, has now developed a bend in his spine, to add to all his other problems!
I decided to end his suffering and had everything set up, and had psyched myself up to do it (Clove oil and vodka method) but I cannot catch him, he's so fast! As soon as he sees the net he dives to the only spot he knows I can't reach him. He's still feeding really well but quite often I find him on the bottom having almost convulsion like fits. It's very distressing for both of us. I'v trawled the internet looking for answers but all I can find is fish TB!!
Does anybody have any suggestions? Should I euthanize him (providing I can catch him!)? His problems started with what we think was delayed ammonia poisoning but would it cause the curvature in his spine?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok what other symptoms for fish tb they need all of these

loss of appitite
bent spine (which uve stated)
dramatic loss of weight
fleshy looksing skin
scale loss
white stringy poop
hes lathargic (which sounds like he isnt tbh as he dives away from ur net)


also he wouldnt be having fits marine microbactirum (fish tb) dsnt cause fits this sounds more like brain damage due to the ammonia poisioning u have stated but dsnt sound like fish tb
also all ur other fish in that tank will also have it NOW! fish tb is a very active disease in water but it is a 1 in a million chances of u getting it it is very rare in freshwater aquariums it normaly is in salt tanks

just put him to sleep and keep an eye on ur other fish make sure they dont have these symptoms and keep ur hygene levels up just as a precautionary as fish tb also affects humans but dsnt become visable for 2 weeks which are blisters on ur arms up to ur elbows fish tb is cureble in humans with tb meds but i normaly takes a year to cure but it is totaly curable

but tbh i wouldnt worry unless all ur fish become infected with most of these symptoms not just one or two

worry if they ALL have four of these symptoms

Thank you so much Liquid, you've put my mind at rest. He doesn't have any of the other symptoms and everybody else is fine so it can't be TB, phew!
Now all I have to do is try and catch him! I'm dreading it tbh, never done it before

make sure u use enough clove oil in a small jar proberly about a tea spoon will do it quickly and humanely
its ok i had a fright like that this year with my goldies lol but it wasnt i lost my goldies so i went to tropical and its been much better

If you drain some of the water it will be easier to catch him.

Have seen curving spine and wasting away problems in both platies and guppies that have been exposed to really poor water quality. Neither species are as hardy as they used to be due to all the line breeding and inbreeding and breeding and breeding and breeding lol.

Kindest thing to euthanise him now because whatever it is, chances are it will only get worse.
