It has been an age since I have been on here.  Having recently moved house, I sold all my fish and dismantled the tank to make the process easier.  I am now cycling the tank again and looking for ideas to populate the tank.

Tank is a 48" x 15" x 15" holding 175 (actual) litres of water.  Gravel and plant soil substrate, planted and has plenty of bogwood.  I know I want Sajica Cichlids, Cories and a Plec of sorts and a small shao of tetras like Rummy Nose but then my mind is open to ideas.  i would like a pair of Apistogrammas but not sure if they are compatible with Sajicas ...

Suggestions much appreciated! Thanks.

Definitely a plec, maybe an albino to make it stand out amongst the substrate

I would say that Sajicas and Apistos would be a bad idea, it generally is when trying mix New World cichlids.

I'd suggest another shoal of something decent sized mid-level, maybe Emperor Tetras?

That is a shame!  Apisto Caucatoides is what I was thinking about.  Do you think it will still be a problem with plant cover?
