I'm thinking of getting a 10 gal, rectangular tank, in addition to my 6 gal Marineland Eclipse.

I read the article on fish that are appropriate for a 10 gal, and I would like to have some advice on a few of them in terms of numbers, and how easy they are to get a hold of. I was thinking of pygmy cories, endler's livebearers, and sparkling gouramis.

Is this a nice mix? In terms of water strata, would they be all in the middle? Are they readily available in most LPS/LFSs?

In terms of numbers, how many should I get of each in order to keep them all happy?

If one of the species is too hard to find, I was thinking of substituting guppies, if I do that, what does that do the other numbers, since they are bigger?

Thanks!
