hey all, i got myself a 4ft 330L tank for my tropical fish, at the moment i have 5 ruby barb and 5 albino tiger barb, any other recommendations for compatible fish was thinking on getting a ruby shark, any other ideas would be nice :)

The first thing I would do is up those numbers a bit...10-12 of each would make a spectacular display to begin with. After that, you are going to need either fast fish or mildly aggressive fish.

I've seen Giant Danios mixed with tiger barbs. The danios are so fast that the tigers don't really bother them. You might want to check out some cichlids, the LESS aggressive ones.

Agree with above, upping the numbers is going to be a great start and with tigers its when you get them in higher numbers that their infamous problems goes away. Also like the idea of adding the giant danios in there but then after that I would consider keeping it as an Asian/African tank and go for things like lionhead cichlids, kribs, rainbow sharks, golden wonder killis for the surface, various syno cats would work as well :)
