Just used one out of curiosity. Based on the dimensions I provided it got the litres correct. However, it says i could stock 15 fish of 2" size??

Impossible to say whether that's right without knowing how big your tank is.

I never found my results to be very accurate. :/

How silly of me!!! Its approx 100 litres/20 gallons

Lot more than tank volume to detrmine stocking... dimensions, filtration, decor, size and shape of fish all come to mind. In all honesty I think the best plan is to post a full description of your tank with planned stocking and it'll no doubt get torn to shreds. On the plus side you'll also get loads of good advice on how to put it back together so it works, both for the fish and for you.

Well my intention is to have a single species and nothing else. Probably eight tiger barbs.

There are too many variables for an online calculator I think, like how heavily your tank is planted (if at all), what substrate, what filter media you're using along with what filter, what setting your flow is set to (if adjustable) and what order you have your filter media in inside your filter.

There are clearly guidelines for stocking a fish tank but you cannot go on an online calculator alone. :)
