Fish Goo KO's Bug

Harmful bugs can be kept at bay by fish slime experts found. Fish like rainbow trout are protected from bacteria in rivers by secreting mucus. Tests show it can safeguard humans too.

A team led by Dr Vyv Salisbury at Bristol's University of West England said the slime can kill bacteria like Salmonella and E.Coli. Dr Salisbury said: "If we can produce these chemicals we may have a new type of antibiotic."
