Hi all 1 or 2 of my fish have been skimming there gills every now and then and no other symtoms water Levels are

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Ph is 7.5

Can't remember if nitrite or nitrate is the most toxic but it's the lesser toxic 1 that's the 20.
But anyway I have treated for paracites/ich and i have done a fair few water changes and they still do it I'm going to try a fluke treatment but does anyone else have any ideas?

the water levels are ok Ammonia and Nitrite are both nil they are the toxic ones Nitrate you always have some in the water
Ammonia turns to Nitrite then it turns into Nitrate

Not sure what you mean by skimming.

Do you mean the fish are rubbing there gills on things in the tank.

Do there gills look pale with excess slime.
Do the gills look red and inflamed, or look like there bleeding.
Do the gills have any white edges, holes, or fungus growing on them.
Do the fish show signs of gasping, or laboured breathing.

yeah they are rubbing there gills on bogwood and plants well 2 fish are no other symptoms.

Are they rubbing there gills alot. Or just now and then.
Make sure there no fine particles in the tank water.
Add some fresh filter floss to the filter,

Il try that as its not all the time I hope it's nothing serious

Fish do flick and rub there gills now and then,
Fine particles in water can irritate there gills, causing them to rub them on objects in the tank.

If there showing none of the above symtoms I wouldn't worry to much.
Just keep a close eye on your fish,
