Fish Picking Dillema For A Danio School

I had 3 blue gouramis in my 20g and i decided to bring 2 back to my LFS so that i had more room for danios and such (as i have 3 and need at least 2 more for a healthier school) but what else should i get?

5 albino corys
1 blue gourami (after i ditch the other 2)
3 purple danios

Looks like the blue gourami is good enough for the tank. That gourami does not stay small. Maybe ditch all 3 of the gouramis, and then get a dwarf gourami. Such as the honey dwarf.

IF you do that, then you can have, 5 bottom dwellers, 3 purple danios, and more. What about a betta, and 5 neon/black neon tetras

OR you can get 5 guppies. Guppies make pretty schools. (They're awesome litttle fish!!!) That would be a total of 14 fish. I think that's all your 20 gallon can handle, I wouldn't get anymore than that if I were you.

P.S.Just don't get any barbs. Barbs need big tanks.

Thanks man, I'm not really into bettas though... I'm definitely keeping one gourami also, they're quite amazing. I'm just not going to put up with the squabbling with the other 2 anymore. I'll probably just get 3 more danios and let it run it's course
