Hello, my multies aren't eating well. They eat live food but I can't get it that often. I have been using some of these tetra red pellet sinking food. Not sure exactly but all fish I've had love it. And they are still scared when I come near the tank. is this normal for multies? I've had other tropical fish before and they never hide after a few days, they just get excited for feeding time but these 2 multies just seem scared all the time. they have been venturing around the tank more and only occasionally eat. Can anyone give me any help with this?

Naringlo what size tank are your Multis in ?,are they on their own or is there anything else in with them,I kept my first colony of Multis 6 of them ,in a 10 gallonn tank and they were very skitty, then a few months later I moved them into a 200 ltr set up along with julies, calvus and cyps, and they seem a lot happier, they tend not to move far from their shellbed but they are always out and about moving sand

120L. 80cmx40cmx43cm. Few anubias. A rock pile on the right. (For some julies once the multies have settled in). On the left there are 6 escargot shells. Getting 12 More tomorrow. A rock separates them a bit. So the line of sight is broken. I had 1 male and 2 females (I think, male is much bigger than the other two) but a female died. Coral Sand subsrate. No other fish in there with them. Just a tiny snail helping to keep the rocks and plants clean.

I can't see anything I did wrong according to research. The male always hides in shells and the females doesn't much. She always goes to the anubias leaf or to the rock pile. But they both hang at the shells and sometimes they go to mid level or near the rocks. If I come back in, they shoot straight to their places. :/

You could try adding another couple of females, remember they are colony forming fish ,a 120 ltr tank will easily be big enough for a colony of Multis and your Julies

Alright then, I'll try that. :)

Thank you for your help!
