looks like a Jack Dempsey but the pics are almost too dark to tell,

could also be an acara but my initial guess would be JD, its definitely not african so yes isn't really suitable for that kind of setup

I was told from the store owner that it was a green severum, but it looks like a jack dempsy to me too.

Defintely isn't a Severum,

Btw if you host the first image on either imageshack.us or Photobucket.com you should get a bigger picture which would make an id easier
