Fish Id

Okay so i rescued a fish, someone i know is selling his tank but the people who are buying the tank didnt want the fish!! So he was just going to put it in a bucket until he could find it a new home, so i stepped in.

I THINK its a Kissing Gourami... although im not sure... what fish is it? (he doesn't know either)

Brilliant, iv got a few fancy guppies and quite a few 3 week old fry, i hope he/she doesn't eat the fry as theyre BEAUTIFUL colours!!

Def a kissing gourami.....that look on the fishes face is PRICELESS

They used to have a batch in my LFS and at least two of them would be 'kissing' each other when ever I was in there. They are adorable.

They only 'kiss' when they are unhappy/anxious or being agressive/dominant with each other.

That fish in the background + guppies + fry are all going to make him a delicious snack!! You can tell from the size of his mouth that he will eat small fish! Even big docile fish like silver sharks will eat small fish if they fit in their mouths and kissing gouramis dont count as docile as they can be really narky.

He was living with some fancy guppies at the person i got him from, he always kept himself to himself, and there are plenty of hiding places, even though the tank isn't fully finished yet.
