Fish Id Please?

After spending hours on t'internet I am officially going doo-lally-t*@t (erm...not that I wasnt already) so thought I would ask on here..
Does anybody know what this fish is called?

That's a lion fish. You want to be carfull around them. Those fins hide nasty spines. If I remember right, the spines contain a pioson.

yes its a lion fish they are salt water speciees have poisnous spines and grow BIG AND WILL EAT most things that will fit into its mouth

the pic looks like a volitan but they can come in all sorts of breeds

Agreed but the pic does look a lot like a Volitans Lionfish, which can exceed 15".

Where did you see it?
It looks like a Pterois lunulata Japanese lionfish

But I beleive these are pretty rare.

While the specific species may be in doubt, it is certainly a member of the pterois genus and can/will grow big
