So i was at the lfs today and bought a couple of fish

Cant find out what the one fish is and my camera is out of baterys so you will have to bare with me for me now.

Closest match i can find is this fish

http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1158

is there a mbuna that has that kind of patchy coloring??

Will post a pic when cam is charged if nobody knows.

Thanks

Ok camera is charged and i manged to get a good picture.

thanks

Whilst im at it what type is this little one

And a good picture of my first one cant remember if it was id'd correctly.. the flash dulled it's colors a bit.. looks much more blue and black in real life.

My first thought is that it was indeed a Livingstoni. But when i looked at the markings and compared it to a Polystigma think i could also possibly be that. Im no Fish geek :grr: but i own a lot of Malawis deffo one of those. If you post the same question and picture on the cichlid forum it WILL be possitively ID'd :good:

Pic 1 - Nimbochromis Polystigma

Pic 2 - looks like Metriaclima Estherae if it as orange as it looks in that pic

Pic 3 - Psuedotropheus Elongatus Mpanga

:D

Agree with 1 and 3, but disagree with number 2.

It does not have the right shaped head to be an Estherae in my opinion.. is it really orangey or is it the flash/camera thats made it..... i'd be half tempted to say Ps.Saulosi the 'Coral Red' one

yea i think your correct, it dosent seem to have the big lips like the estherae.

thanks

I'm inclined to agree re pic 2. The colour is all wrong for Saulosi but i think that's just the lighting as the body shape fits the bill. :good:

You turned into a Parrot Druchii? you seem to be repeating yourself

Its a CORAL RED  SQUAK SQUAK

only that you said about being saulosi shaped but that it was the wrong colour, kinda left it open eneded so to speak so it was missing someone confirming it was of the Red Coral variety and hence why it may look the 'wrong' colour in some peoples eyes :good:
