Fish I Would Like In My Tank!

Hi All

i have a few fish that i would like to put in my new tank. they are as follows:

1 x Golden Algae Eater

1 x Common Pleco

5 x Neon Tetra

5 x Female Guppy

1 x Clown Loach

(option)1 x Red Tail Black Shark

do you think having these fish would suit a tank? and putting a red tail black shark in, would this disrupt the community?

common plecos require 75G+ as do Clown Loach, which by the way should Never be kept on their own.
RTB Sharks require 50G+ to reduce aggresion
Gold Algae Eaters also get fairly big and aggressive,

I havent commited to buying any fishy friends yet guys, not that silly lol!

Im just doing some research to find what fish would look, and develope best in my tank!

i have a nice curved piece of Driftwood in the center im planning on having a few plants either side, i also have some bamboo plants.

you might be better to get male guppys cos they are prettier and any females you buy could already have been mated by a male - female guppys can hold enough sperm to give birth to 40+ fry every 4 weeks
So go for some pretty males instead

and what about a bristle nose plec they are gorgeous plecs and stay smallish (5-6")

In that case, ottos are a small peaceful alternative to Algae Eaters, you could have a small group of 3-4 of these,
Or for a pleco you could look at bristlenose plecs, bulldog plecs, or some of the smaller peckoltia species like clowns, leopard etc.
Note though that I would go or either a group of ottos or a pleco,

neons and other tetras would be fine,

I would personally go for all Males than Females as these are the ones that have the most colour and best finnage,
Again Note that tetras may nip at them.

Dwarf Chain Loach is possibly the best alternative to clown loach, these stay small but again need to be kept in a group
Kuhli loach is another option.

There isn' really any sharks that are suitable for that sized tank i'm afraid

i would also consider siamese algae eaters, as they are great fun to watch and can be kept with smaller fish. although your tank might be a bit small. also, i would keep a bigger shoal of one type of tetra such as rummy nosed tetras as they swim together and look really effective.
