hi sorry i replied three times ad it never posted 100 x 50 x 50 cm

So 3ft long then.. In that case I would get some dwarf cichlids. Such as rams (bolivian or german blue), apistogramma's and kribensis.. Just to name a few.. Have a look online and see what you think.

There are lots to choose from and they all have lovely bright colours.

Also if for an example you went for these and decided to go for an apisto, you could get 1 male and 2 females (as a centrepiece fish) and then go for a nice shoal of tetras or similar and then a group of 6+ corys for the bottom.

What plecs is it you have by the way? If they are commons or sailfins then they too will need rehoming as they will get way too big for that tank.

my plecos are normal ones, around 5 years old they seem happy but havent grown for years

If they are "normal" ones then this normally means common plecs although that's a very bold claim to make. There is no sure way of saying what they are unless you were able to post a pic of them on here...

But..

If they are commons and they haven't grown for years like you said then the reason for that is they are already likely to have become stunted due to being in an unsuitable tank size.. This is where the fish stop growing on the outside but their internal organs continue to grow resulting in deformity and early death in most cases. Can't see it being to pleasant for the fish in either... Again... This is not a certainty, just what would tend to any fish kept in too small a tank.

A common can get around 18 inches in length whist sailfins get even longer... Closer to 24 inches (2ft)

ive put some on my photo bucket page which is in my sig

Ah right ok, unfortunately I'm away from my laptop until tomorrow and I can't access the full site from my iPhone. Can only access "mobile" version of the site and so I can't view sig's and so on. I can only view and reply in posts.. I will be sure to take a look as soon as I'm back on my laptop :good:

Tried to post on any other way my photo bucket won't even share the album!

I saw your photobucket... I think that if you decide to go the dwarf route you'd want much more landscaping in the way of plants, maybe some wood, etc. most ideal would be live plants. They're more secure and more active in a more 'scaped tank.

hifella, i need new lights for plants as they end up dying all the time! also my fish are quite big currently and decide to move them round as much as they want too. Im hopefully getting a new light unit soon, will look at maybe some rocks as well. Would love to go Cichild route but would need to sell/rehome my current fish first
