i treated with esha 2000 because one of my neons has suspected mouth rot, and it says its for fungus, finrot and bacteria treatment, iv treated twice now and now some of my fish are havin (sorry for this part ) poo's that are stringy white then clumps then more string then more clumps, and then sometimes just stringy.

no carbon in filter
ammonia = 0
nitrate = 10-15
nitrite = 0
temp 26.5-27
tank size 200, stock list in sig

thanks :)

has the mouth rot gone now as esha 2000 not that good on advanced columnaris.

Long stringy white poo can be constipation, internal parasites, bacterial.

What do you feed the fish?
Do the fish look bloated or thin?

feeding them - tetramin flakes...but the hatchets mainly eat them as everything esle i have eats from the bottom
jbl novo granomix mini
king british catfish pellet food
sometimes freeze dried bloodworm once a week maybe twice
frozen brine shrimp once a week
king british plecostomus tablet food
starting to drop in a slice of courgette in everyother night

the only bloated fish is a posibly pregnant swordtail,

the neon died on the 3rd day of treatment, no other signs of it yet

Don't over feed freeze dried bloodworms they can causing bloating and constipation.

For now try some peas.
Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down and pop out of shell. Mush into small pieces and add to the tank.

let me know if the peas clear it up.
Good Luck.

Be ready with the syphon. My fish are fed cooked peas and no matter how skilled they are at catching the peas, some pieces inevitably fall to the bottom and need to be removed. Watch your fish though. Once when I sucked up a chunk of pea, my female betta saw the pea, rushed across the tank and swam up the syphon after the pea!!! lol Luckily she is small and I was able to take the tube apart quickly enough and she plopped back down into the water (with the pea).

all of m fish apart from the hatchets eat off the floor, even the swordtails eat the corys pellets, so a few peas i reckon will dissapear in a few hours

Hi shane just one thing it isn't natural for some of your fish to eat off the floor this could cause internal problems maybe?

I address these issues by first reducing flake size by crushing between finger tips. Then I get x amount between fingers, submerge hand then release with a flcik - ideally in filter current this satisfies the mid-swimmers. The hatchets then get a pinch but I still get some mid swimmers here so watch my hatchets are getting enough. Then I allow the sinking pellets and hope the fish are less interested by this time, although that is usually not the case lol! My cardinals play football with the gouramis :lol:

Hope you sort things out!

could do, i bought he granomix with is small fine granuals that some float and then some sink slowly to the bottom

do they they have to be frozen peas ? or can you use peas from a pod and cook them for a bit ?

Just cook them for a few minutes. Don't forget to pop out of shell afterwards. Best to mush the pea into small pieces.

just fed a few peas, so update on that to se if they have amore white poos, now my angel isnt eatin at all ivshot peas infront and he just lets them go...should i fast the tank ofr a day or to and try agen with the peas??
