Glad I found this forum as we've become quite attached to tropical fish and are hoping to start a marine tank soon.

Our problem is that one by one our fish appear to get 'swim bladder' and then die. It's happened to most of the smaller fish over a few months and we thought it was simply that they didn't live that long, but tonight 2 of the small tropical frogs seem to be experiencing the same symptoms - floating at the top of the tank and then slowly sinking and swimming awkwardly.

The strange thing is this is the first time that 2 fish have been affected at the same time - and all the other fish appear healthy. We do put them in the 'hospital' tank, but they never get better.

Could it be some infection in the tank somewhere? or water quality? any help appreciated.

thankyou

Need more info on size of tank in gallons or litres, plus full stock list of fish in the tank which kind and how many, water stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
How long has the tank been set up, how often do you do a gravel vac and water change, and finally what do you feed the fish.
