Is it a moray eel? (Hint in your ID?)

Your going to have to get much better with the clues. None of us have a clue about SW fish. We don't keep them so we don't know them. Since you say it has never been sold, I assume that meanns it isn't a fish anyone would have in a tank.

No, the biggest moray only gets 8 feet.

Ultra clue 4: It is disc-shaped, greyish-blue, it eats jellyfish and shellfish, it lives on the open ocean, and shares a name with a FW fish found in lakes and rivers, this animals latin name being Enneacanthus chaetodon.

LOL, one of the few saltwater fish I do know
