Hi all just got my second tank , done fish less cycle, ph 7.3 and water soft.
tank 200 litre with an eheim 2227 filter so good water movement.some plants, Amazon swords, anubias and vallis
anyone recommend a fish selection.
regards andy

Tank length?

* 20 tetras or 15 tetras and 10 small hatchetfish
* 1m 3-4f Apisto. species (A. cacatuoides or A. agassizii if you don't have much experience) or pair of keyholes or pair of bolivian rams or pair/harem of any peaceful dwarf SA cichlid
* 1-3 small plecos (keep in mind that males can be aggressive, so for example 1m 2f bristlenoses would work)
* 8-10 Corys

Fish choice is pretty personal.

Have you got a short list of fish that you would like to have in there? Then maybe ppl on here could tell you if they are appropriate for your setup.

If the tank is long you could get some Rainbow fish, you can get them in some lovely colours. There is the classic Neon Tetra (or any of the other variants Black/Green) or Cardinals? Rummy Nosed? Red or Black Phantoms? There are lots and lots of choices.

hi thanks for response tank is juwel 190 corner tank.
as for fish short list had nothing in mind was looking for ideas that suited tank and water,
can lower ph if needed. just one blue gourami in there at moment to help with cycle which may stay or back to other tank.
although was thinking of chiclids! but can you mix varieties

Maybe 1m 2f or a pair of dwarfs with a pair of keyholes or Bolivian rams would work.. cichlids can be a bit aggressive, especially when breeding, but it also very much depends on individual fish.

hi thanks will have to think what fish to place in tank, may go for a different option.
still any other ideas appreciated
