well i bought two indian gouramis and my siamese fighter has stated to rip their scales off  i dont know what to do the guys at the pet shop said these speices will be fine together anyway now i have put my fighter in isolation (a tiny plastic tank next to the glass one) but it wont last long in there (i has no heater or filter) the only soulotion i can think of is taking the fighter or the gourmis to the pet shop tommorow if they survive (should i float the pastic tank in the big tank over nigt to keep the temp up) but how do i decied which to take to the pet shop i have had the fighter since i started fish keeping (one of the fish fish i got) and the gouramis are so colorful and i think they are more comunial. please help!! i need advice as soon as possable as i need to fix the problem fast so none of um die

You can just get a cheap 1+ gallon tank for the fighter, it doesn't have to be cycled but you'll probably want to change water twice a week, and if you have a big enough tank you can get a filter and heater. They don't really need much space and don't produce a massive bioload, so this way, you won't have to give away any.

Agreed.
Put the plastic betta tank in the warmest room in your house and perform a 20% water change before bed, should be fine....

Thanks for your help guys. I put the plastic tank next to my biggest snake tank overnight, but i though it was best that i exchange the gouramis as i have had my fighter for ages and i dont whant him to be swimming in circles. I exchanged the gourmis for a black and orange sword tailed molly and a egyptian aquatic frog. If the molly is okay with the fighter i will get some more different types

Your male betta will go after any fish with flowing tails, such as a molly. You need to be sure that you don't combine him with other flowing fin fish and also with brightly colored fish. You'd be better off keeping the betta in a smaller container and go ahead and get various species for your larger tank.
