Maybe a stupid question but....
i have been keeping tropical fish for a while now. have a 400 litre tank with the following in :

9 torpedo barb (2inch long)
7 silver dollars (3 inches across)
2 silver sharks (6 inches long)
1 parrot fish (5 inches)
2 parrot fish (2 inches)
red tailed shark (2 inches)
1 plec (4 inches)

i am feeding what i deem to be quite a lot of food, (mainly flakes) twice a day but the fish seem to have shown very little if any growth over the time a have had them which has been at least 6 months and much longer for some. does anyone know exactly how much i should be feeding ?
and are these fish just very slow growers/ how much should they grow in how long ?

thank you for oyur help

They need more of a balanced diet it frozen foods and veg.
Feeding flakes all the time can make fish constipated and also they must get bored of the same meal every day.
They do need treats.

what sorts of things are ideal and easy to give them,, they always seem to wolf down the flakes but i do feed the occasional blood worm ?

thank you

You can buy variety packs from the lfs with four different frozen foods bloodworms, daphnia, brimestrimp, white worms.
My fish also like krill, and a discus mix.
Veg is good anything green.

thanks i will try that , also ? do you know if temperature effects their growth>?

not too much actually. lower temperatures do result in less active fish and possibly a little slower growth. i'm not too sure about higher temperatures though
